For our summer project we were asked to produce a piece of fine art using non traditional medias, so I looked into using spray paints, bottle lids, paper mache, drawing with thread and even old broken earphones. I started by thinking about what the project was. It was was based on 'Self' which seems easy, but once I started trying to think of ideas I found it really difficult but I feel this was more down to being asked to use non traditional medias and being out of my comfort zone but once I had started to think of medias I could use, ideas started to come to me. I thought about my interests and found myself at music and tattoos which then led me onto design a sort of logo which is the background image of my blog. I then took this on to drawing myself on a spray painted piece of cardboard before going over the facial features with some purple thread.
After this I arranged the bottle tops that I had been collecting over the duration of the summer around the figure and once I was happy with the composition of the lids I started to superglue them down.
