In Life Class this year we started again with the basics, we started off with simple line drawings to ease is back into it, these are my first two from the year.
This is one of my favourite pieces that I have done in Life Class over the course of two years, I really like it because of the tone I feel like this is one of my best pieces were I have managed to capture the tones in our life model really well, I also like this one because we drew our model wearing his gown which we don't usually do and it was nice to do something else for a change.
I really like my work here, despite not being the best I have done admittedly I liked that we spent the lesson focusing on specific parts of the body that usually as a whole class we struggle with, focusing on the hands and feet worked really well for me and since then the drawings I have done of the full figure have vastly improved in these areas. I also really like the different techniques we looked at; line drawing, tonal pencil, fine line and water and drawing as if the body is made up of geometric shapes.
